You don’t have to understand everything about Christianity to come to Rock City. Questions are welcome. We believe following Jesus is a lifelong journey of knowing Him, trusting Him, and becoming more like Him.
Here’s what shapes our faith.
We believe the Bible—both the Old and New Testaments—is the inspired Word of God. It tells the story of who God is, what He has done to rescue us, and how He invites us to live. We trust Scripture as true and as our final authority for what we believe and how we live.
We believe there is one God, the Creator of everything. He is perfect, eternal, and exists as three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived without sin, died on the cross for our sins, and physically rose from the dead.
Jesus ascended to heaven, where He is with the Father and continues to represent and advocate for those who trust Him.
Jesus is alive, Jesus is Lord, and Jesus is our only hope for salvation.
We believe the Holy Spirit is God and is actively at work today. He points people to Jesus, brings new spiritual life to those who believe, and lives within every follower of Christ.
The Holy Spirit guides us, teaches us, transforms us, and empowers us to live like Jesus and join Him in His mission.
We believe every person is created in the image of God and has incredible worth and dignity.
We also believe sin has broken our relationship with God and affected every part of our world. We cannot rescue ourselves or earn our way back to God.
We need Jesus.
We believe salvation is God's gift of grace.
Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead. Everyone who places their faith in Jesus Christ receives forgiveness, new life, and a restored relationship with God.
We are not saved by being good enough, religious enough, or working hard enough.
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus.
Jesus gave the Church two meaningful practices: baptism and the Lord's Supper (Communion).
Baptism is a public expression of our faith in Jesus and identifies us with His death and resurrection. Communion helps us remember and celebrate what Jesus accomplished for us through His death on the cross.
Neither baptism nor Communion earns salvation. Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ.

Only those who are, members of the true Church shall be eligible for membership in the local church.
We believe the Church is more than a building or a Sunday service. The Church is made up of everyone who has placed their faith in Jesus Christ.
Jesus is the Head of His Church, and together we are His people—called to worship Him, love one another, serve our neighbors, make disciples, and live out His mission in the world.
We believe Jesus Christ will personally and physically return.
We don't know when, but His return is our hope. Because Jesus is coming again, we want to live faithfully, love generously, serve courageously, and help others know and follow Him.
We believe death is not the end.
God will physically raise the dead. Those who belong to Jesus will experience everlasting life, joy, and relationship with Him. Those who reject Him will face God's final judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.
Because eternity is real, the invitation of Jesus matters now.
Christianity isn't ultimately about trying harder to become a better person.
It's about Jesus.
He lived the life we could not live, died for our sins, rose from the dead, and offers new and eternal life to everyone who believes in Him.
That's why our mission at Rock City is simple:
Know Jesus.
Follow Jesus.
Help others follow Jesus.
